Every fall two historically black colleges from across America come to Chicago to play a single football game. This fall marks the 20th year of this incredible event, and I am excited to participate again.
More than football, the event is an opportunity for young African American children to interact with alumni and gain exposure to the culture of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCU). Furthermore, the event itself is a major fundraiser for scholarships, which makes it possible for more of our children to access the high-quality education provided by HBCUs.
This year's Classic is particularly special to me because my very own Grambling State Tigers will be on the field. Trust me; you do not want to miss this moment, especially this band.
